acquiring & analyzing info w/ sophisticated models & tools.
❖ Usually narrow in scope.
❖ Targeted toward helping managers solve specific kinds of
problems.
❖ Have been developed to help managers:
Pick shortest & most efficient routes for delivery trucks.
Select best combo of stocks for investors.
Schedule the flow of inventory through complex
manufacturing facilities.

❖ DSS programs improve managerial decision-making by
