Affirmative action programs: types & practices: quotas favoring women/minorities, such programs are fairly rare, as they have been found in many cases to be unconstitutional. 194 in d&e: despite the fact that this form of aa is rare, it"s the type that most ppl think about when they hear the words affirmative action . Why: preference systems, could be based on a point system. Was used by the university of michigan in its admission practices: supreme court ruled in 2003 that receiving points on the basis of race was unconstitutional. 04/23/18: self-examination plans, agencies do self-studies & set goals & timetables for their own.
