Extended ontogeny lifespan (how long they live) Primates have longer lifespans than any other mammal because as you ascend the primate order, the lifestage increases and behavior becomes more complex. Deprived monkeys were physically smaller than normal counterparts. Only occurs in one period of time = estrus (period of receptivity) No b/c we are more complex for learned behavior. Once they reproduced offspring, they could not care for them b/c maternal instinct was non existent. No father b/c they don"t know who the father is.
