People are more sensitive to words like bomb, thief, shark, and cancer than baby, friend, and beach. Negative information weighs more heavily on the brain. Stigma of association even when a target persons relationship to the positive or negative other comes about by chance, not as a matter of choice, our first impressions are influenced.
