Document Summary

Last ime we did tilman"s resource based model. There are several cases and there is the idea of self-limiing. Same axis as before but there is a switch of consumpion curve posiions. Region 4 is between the two curves between region 3 and 6. Everyime members of a given species use a unit of its problem resources it is having a highly negaive efect on the other guy. Harming itself a bit really hits the other guy. Therefore this is not likely a stable state. This is case four prime and it is unstable coexistence. Ecologists would say that this is superior model because of its use of resource space and niche space. Speciically it deines in niche terms the things to make a species exist or not. This idea of stable coexistence doesn"t really come with the lotka. The stability comes in region 4 which means a lot of each resource.
