Document Summary
Causal novice, basic principles of disease, basic science. Analyical signs and symptoms and emphasis on them. Experienial relying on past examples to make judgement. Success in one problem seems not to correlate to success on another problem. The skills don"t transfer from one problem to the next. Extent and organizaion of knowledge (these are basically polar opposites) Experise involves a coordinaion of muliple kinds of knowledge (most modern) When you had people read about a thing. The intermediates retain the most but the experts remember only the important bits. The novices rely most on causal and experts rely on the experienial. These are the way you deal with the data you get from the paient studies. Reduced is when you are not connecing the dots just a list. Dispersed when it is extensive and disorganized but has like every last detail. Elaborated which is when you have extensive lists and you are making connecions.
