Families are changing in the world (and in the us) Some people believe social problems are a result of the breakdown of the family: economic position really determines what happens to a family. Many more americans are living on their own this is also happening in europe. Immigrants (mostly non-whites) have larger families: so, immigrants are compensating for the slow growth rates in western countries. Family relationships really touch us, no matter what the case is. We need the family because it"s an important institution in the us. Most people who are in family relationships want it to work. Some of the problems in the family are created by individuals in the family. External pressures the family faces (economic problems are huge: these external pressures cause problems in the family. Each family is unique and different (it depends on the members of the family)
