Civil rights is great, but you have no representation, you"re ghettoized, you can"t get into the middle class. Frustrated not able to take civil rights further. Followed police with loaded guns and law book and legally confronted police when they were harassing a black person. If cops arrested it would be an unlawful arrest and they would be taken to court. Wanted to build a following in the neighborhood by standing up to the police. Brought guns to schools because white teachers were beating up black kids. So, they changed the law that you can"t have loaded guns in municipal areas. So black people brought their loaded guns to the legislature. Law passes that you can no longer carry guns in municipal areas. Breakfast for children fed black children in poverty set up through the black panther party.
