Begins to act intentionally- pulls a string to move a toy. Achieves object permanence by realizing that things continue to exist when they"re no longer present. Thinking is egocentric, where child has difficulty taking the viewpoint of others. Classifies objects by a single feature- for example, groups blocks by color regardless of their shape. Can think logically about concrete objects and events. Achieves conservation of number, volume, mass, and weight. Flexibility classifies objects by several features and can order them. Can think logically about abstract propositions and test hypotheses systematically.
