Imagining what significant others think of us, and incorporating those perceptions- self is relational. Most ppl overestimate the positives when self-assessing. Most ppl have difficulty predicting how they will feel in response to future emotional events. Focusing on a single event and neglecting the effects of other life experiences. To be more accurate, think more broadly about life events.
