Listen with the bell brewys (over vascular areas), friction rub (liver) Aorta, renal artery, iliac artery, femoral artery (listen to all) Don"t push vigorously on a spleen , it can rupture. Kidneys (ductal) one hand under lift up , other hand squishing from the top. Liver, hook method, fingers right below costal margin, deep breath , push fingers up. Rebound tenderness (palpate non effected side with tips of fingers) Murphy"s sign (gall bladder enlarged) palpate liver up and in. Appendix lay down legs up hand below knee lift up with resistance, patient will have pain (sois) Obturator- bend knee and rotate it pg 465.
