Topics for both essays are the same but different audiences in each essay: introduction- identify problem. Provide background: how much depends on how much your audience already knows or needs to know- also- if the topic is complicated or not. Can relate it to something they already know/care about (or a recent event) No thesis: summarize their point of view- your opinion has not place. Show that you listened, can use you or your here. I heard you said, i understand your point of view, this is how you feel why. You could use some evidence to introduce their side (ca) Fair/ unbiased, some information: common ground- we shared assumptions. Evidence/ hypothetical situation: contribution of new points- when you get to add a little more of your side.
