Community - association of populations of different species that and interact in same place at same time. Species with similar fundamental niches can coexist in a community if there are one/more significant differences in their niches. Evolution by natural selection results in one of species using different set of resources. Differentiation of niches that enables similar species to coexist in one comm. Species can have population that are sometimes allopatric (geographically separate) Overtime, natural selection favors individuals that avoid/reduce competition for resources i. ii.
