More complex than what individual tissues do. Fertilization small flagellated sperm fuses with larger, non-motile egg zygote. Cleavage series of mitotic divisions without growth. Blastulation cell migration to form hollow ball. Blastula hollow ball of cells around blastocoel ( cavity )
