In the picture, a person can see either an old woman or a young lady. Interpretation: how do people understand certain things, the way that a person sees, hears or understands something is the interpretation of it, memory and retention, recall- active deliberate retrieval of information from memory, short/long term memory. Message influences: organization and how the message is constructed, novelty can make a difference, primacy (the first way you hear or see something will stick with you, recency (something heard or seen most recently will stick with you) Source influences: delivery, how a message is given influences it by either poorly constructed messages that can be misinterpreted or excellently constructed messages that allow for proper understanding, credibility.
