Designing the flows of work across the entire organization that allows right work to be done well. Process by which managers create a specific type of organizational structure and culture so that a company can operate in the most efficient and effective way. Determines how employees will work together by: Provide everyone with knowledge of their roles in value creation process. Step 1 - create productive and meaningful jobs. Goal is to create enriched jobs because increasing workers" responsibilities increases their involvement in work and their interest in doing quality work. Step 2 - group jobs and create organizational structure. Goal is to create a structure of working relationships among employees to allow them to achieve an organization"s goals effectively and efficiently. Step 3 - integrate and coordinate work flows. Activities of multiple individuals and work groups. Learn across work units and leverage different ideas.
