The working memory is where we focus on info that"s useful for the now. Ex: flow-charts: storage: retaining information, iconic memory says that for a brief moment the image remains burnt in our eye. Called echoic memory for sounds: working or short-term memory is the temporary holding place for information that we"re using at the current time. Faster: retrieval cues help us to pull information out of our memories, priming cues us to remember things. Priming gives us hints to unlock our memories, and could be nothing more than a key word to open the door to our memories: d j vu triggered by reentering a similar situation, memories are mood-congruent. When ur happy you can recall happy memories easier. Blocking we have it on the tip of our tongue, but can"t get it. Misattribution our memories cross wires as to who said it or if it was a dream. Suggestibility our memories become susceptible to suggestion by others.
