Mirror neurons fire when observing another person doing something. Parietal lobes at top of brain. Contains somatosensory cortex receives information about sensation. Occipital lobes in back of head. Contains visual cortex processes visual signals. Blindness can be caused by damage to occipital lobe. Temporal lobes on sides of head. Contains wernicke"s area language comprehension (left side in most people) Wernicke"s aphasia: damage to wernicke"s area, cannot communicate properly, can result from stroke. Association areas involved in executive functions. In between lobes and some are in the lobes.
