Definition: the scientific examination of how people think about, influence, and relate to one another; the examination of everyday human behavior. The illusion of control: everyone wants to feel in control (avoid uncertainty, control gives a sense of confidence, we put more value in things we feel we have more control over. Hypothesis testing: if then statement for hypothesis; check these with experiments. Controlled experiments and surveys: try to recreate reality; psychological experience (ex: recreate you getting angry to see why/processes to lead to it) Mundane?/experimental realism: so caught up in the tasks that they forget it"s an experiment; act like they normally would.
