We will be studying primarily the constitution of the united states of america. In america today, we live in a democratic society with a republic form of government. Democracy comes from the greek words demos kratos which literally translates to people power, meaning that people are the power. David ramsey: lived during the american revolution and wrote a book where he talks about american revolution. He said that american did not make the constitution by taking power away from the people. Federalism: all the law you need to have a country. Federalism allocates a little power to the federal government and all else is left to the states. Federalism stands for limited federal government, limits the power the power of federal government and everything else is left for the other states.
