Tues results: trump still leads cruz by ~ 100 delegates. Clinton has ~ 600+ delegates more than sanders. 3/15: fl (wta), il (wta), mo, nc, oh (wta): expect trump to widen his lead over cruz. Wild card= oh (if kasich wins=protracted race)(if trump wins=more difficult for cruz) Independent regulatory commissions: maintain independence from pres & politicians, deal w complex economic or technical issues. Congress wants to keep these decisions out of the hands of politicians who may be inclined to write the rules for partisan advantage. Congress delegates to bureaucracy to avoid making unpopular decisions, especially when impact is diffuse not particular to one district and therefore members of congress cannot reap electoral rewards. Ex: federal reserve board: run by board of commissions, nominated by the pres, confirmed by the senate. Government corporations: semi-independent agencies, designed to serve public interest, private sector could produce these goods/services but would be under produced, goods/services that are not profitable.
