Most of war paid for with loans by creditors. Many colonies came up with their own paper money. Western farmers have no money; just goods. State pushes rebellion as far as it can; state militia ended up squashing it. Shows the rest of the nation that the articles of confederation are not strong enough: the whiskey rebellion. Western people heavily relied on fermenting wheat and corn into liquor.
