Pair light with a noise the response will cause the animal to freeze. Use noise stimulus because you can habituate the animals to the noise stimulus. By habituating them to the us we are devaluing it (constantly presenting the noise) Group 2 will show a stronger response than group 1 because you habituated the us. This shows that devaluing the us decreases the cr. This shows that the learning must be s-s learning: this fits with pavlov. Example 2 of us devaluation: second order conditioning.
