In the united states of america, the great plains are made up of several states such as north and south dakota, montana, nebraska, kansas, oklahoma, texas, wyoming, colorado and new mexico. The central valley of california is also a prairie of its own. Alberta, saskatchewan plays a vital role in making up the great plains. It is indeed very interesting to learn and explore the depths of agricultural studies focusing on the american prairie. Prairies once covered 40% of the land in the u. s. a.
