Spread of wnv: spread across us s am. in < 10 years by infected birds and mosquitoes, not contagious human human. # of human cases 2015: 48 states had cases in humans and birds, overall: 1732 cases of wnv in ppl reported to cdc, 65%=neuroinvasive (encephalitis, meningitis, 168 death sin us; 1/3 of cases in tx, in tx: 2015: 383 cases, 235 neuroinvasive, 4 deaths.
