Gender schema: mental framework that organizes a child"s understanding of behavior. Androgynous: have the best of both genders. Transsexual: gender identity is opposite of their anatomy. Gender identity disorder: strong and persistent cross-gender identification, persistent discomfort with their sex (gender dysphoria) Benevolent sexism: attitudes relating to gender that on the surface appear to be beneficial but are actually harmful. Erotic plasticity: the degree to which the sex drive is shaped by social, cultural, and situational factors. Male hypoactive sexual desire disorder and female sexual arousal disorder: don"t want to have sex, usually in a relationship with underlying issues. Excitement phase: period in which arousing stimulus begins a sequence that prepares the genitals for sexual intercourse.
