When lying we can be betrayed by our own faces because of the dual nature of the nervous system. In high stakes situations, humans may feel emotions about lying, or may be lying about an emotion: example from note. When lying, humans may experience emotions such as fear, sadness, anger, contempt, or delight. Occur most often when the individual does not want to show the emotion they are feeling: psychopaths would pass the lie detector test because they don"t feel guilt. For example: psychopaths steal money and run away without feeling guilt. While other people would feel nervous or guilt. These expressions may briefly show on the face instinctively, before we can mask them centrally. Expressions may be whole or squelched, only partial.
