Sometimes thought that diseases have a known cause, disorder is for an unknown cause. Very complex, many things require a further definition of the definition. Addiction is also something that is incredibly difficult to define: Addiction is a chronic disease characterized by drug seeking and use that is compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences (nih/nida) Nora volkow leading proponent of this view. Addiction is a brain disease, undermining control over drug use by disrupting normal brain functioning related to reward learning, motivation, and decision making. Addiction: a term used to indicate the most severe, chronic stage of substance-use disorder, in which there is a substantial loss of self-control, as indicated by compulsive drug taking despite the desire to stop taking the drug. In the dsm-5, the term addiction is synonymous with the classification of severe substance-use disorder . Not a definition of disease vary vague.
