Specific neurotransmitters relay specific messages and in specific brain areas. Dopamine : motivation, reward, movement through, learning. Serotonin : involved in sleep, mood, and arousal. If the charge is positive, there is more likely action potential. Then it is propagated down the axon. They travel bind themselves to the next neuron.
