Migration: is the movement from one place to another whether is forced, internal, international, or voluntary. Emigration: a move from a particular location. Migrant: person who moves from one place to another. Refugee: migrant who lives outside of their country but is unable/unwilling to return because of fear/persecution. Displaced person: same as refugee, but has not left the country. Transmigration: process by which immigrants travel between host country and home by bringing goods, cultural traits, and ideas. Transnationalism: theory that explains process created by transmigration by which transmigrants participate directly or indirectly in circular migration, thus establishing economic, political, social or cultural networks between host country and home country.
