Ethnic group: is composed of large or small cultural group who share a sense of: identity: history, language, culture, geographic location, religious beliefs. Nation: kurds live in turkey, iraq, iran, syria, and parts of the soviet union, palestine was an ethnic group without a state. State: legal concept describing a social group that occupies a defined territory and is organized under a common political institutions and an effective government. The state exercises sovereign authority within its boundaries and is recognized by other states. Identity: a conception of the self, a selection of physical, psychological, emotional, or social/cultural attributes of particular individuals. The perception of what you think you are versus what other people think you are.
