Document Summary
Successful relationships entail the mutual exchange of desirable rewards with others. The outcome of an interaction is its net pro t or loss. Outcome is not a determinant of how satisfying or stable the relationship is. What we expect and feel we deserve in our dealings with others. Has to do with schema of relationship type. The outcomes we think we could get elsewhere. Our clalts are the lowest level of outcomes we will accept in our current relationship. Clalt includes the cost of leaving and the rewards offered by others. Investments are the things we lose when a relationship ends. You will only plot your own if something happens and you need to reevaluate. Don"t do this if you"re in a happy relationship. You can have a happy & stable relationship that is abusive. Our cls are based on our past experiences, and they uctuate along with the outcomes we receive (not objective)
