England"s response upset with demands (militia, no trading) so they sent more people in to tighten rules. Arrest warrants to arrest a few people (sam adams who they thought organized boston tea party and heard there were weapons stored) Riders ahead of the british warned the town saying the regulars are coming . Militia came out to protect and a fight began and people were shot. Need to have another meeting to show a united front and work things out. Fall of 1774 twelve colonies meet in philly for second continental congress.
