Over 90% of men and 85% of women engage in sexual intercourse before marriage. African american high schoolers are more likely to report having sex than white or hispanic. Sexually active female adolescents report depression and more guilt and less pressure than young men- likely because of slut shaming and sexual double standard. The sexual double standard- still well and alive even after sexual revolution. The slut/stud conundrum- why are women shamed while men are rewarded. Creates an excuse for violence against women.
