Most of theatre in america today grew out of the traditions begun in ancient greece. Traditions and/or practices that originated in europe, and then spread to north america and other areas colonized by europeans. The storytelling process is a group effort. Hopi indians create their festival performances together. Community is the author of the play. Our lives, our culture, are composed of many overlapping stories. Action= what characters do and why they do it. Deliberate shape or organization that reveals purpose. Plot - a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story o the main part of the story. These events relate to each other in a pattern or a sequence.
