Physical Activity for Health
Physical activity- any body movement that works your muscles, uses more
energy than when resting, and enhances health
Exercise- planned, repetitive, and structured bodily movement undertake to
maintain or better any number of physical fitness components
Regular partaking in physical activity improves more than 50 aspects of
physiological, metabolic, and psychological aspects of human life
Reduced Risk of Cardiovascular Diseases
Aerobic exercise=good for heart and lungs
Capillaries- small blood vessels that allow gas exchange between blood and
surrounding tissues
Regular exercise can reduce the risk of hypertension or chronic HBP,
increases HDLs, and removes HDLs
Reduced Risk of Metabolic Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes

Physical activity has a direct, positive effect on metabolic rate, keeping it
elevated for several hours
