Sense of self - differentiated from other people, but is also inextricably linked to others in the social world. Individual self - subjective uniqueness, what is unique to the individual, hobbies, goals, desires, personal characteristics. Relational self - aspects of individual that involves connections with other people, reflects immediate bond with other people, (romantic, friendships, parent-child) Internal working model is a part of the relational self. Collective self - larger group, social group, (ex, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender) reflects person"s self concept in a broader way. Infants know their body is separate from others" bodies form early on. Infants know that they are - differentiated from surrounding environment. Don"t know who or what they are yet.
