Emotional responses can be broken down into the 3 rs . Emotion reactivity: the type, magnitude, & duration of initial emotional response to internal & external environment & have significance for personal goals. Emotion recovery: the magnitude & duration of the return from the peak emotional response to baseline. Emotion regulation: the processes by which individuals influence which emotions they have, when they have them, & how they experience & express these emotions.
