Document Summary

People have different personality characteristics (individual differences) Personality assessment based on shape of body, particularly the face. Personality assessment based on morphology (shape) of skull. Most common but one of worst personality tests. Creators had no training in personality psychology. 50% get a different score when they retake the test a few weeks later. Not much evidence that mbti scores predict health, happiness, job performance, & other life outcomes. Ex: you"re either an extravert or an introvert. Most people fall in the middle of any given trait (similar to a normal bell curve) Descriptions of types are so vagues & general that they apply to almost anyone. Emphasizes percentage of each house unlike mbti. Ex: delay of gratification (self - control) Whether they were taught self - control or not. Ability to understand delay of gratification or not. May"ve been in environment where it"s not certain you will get food later. Heart rate, cortisol, neuroimaging, genetics life outcome data.
