Seriousness of a disease in terms of causing unpleasant or harmful effects on the body, possibly to the point of being life threatening. Capacity of a person to be infected by or unresistant to a disease. A disease for which there are superficially visible or noticeable changes in the body or its functions that indicate the presence of disease.
