The adversary began as a fiction novel. Idea to write in an objective way. Didn"t think it was honest that capote left himself out of the book. The murder - why he killed his family. Why people didn"t suspect anything of jaques. Flooded with first person perspective author isn"t interesting why talk about himself. Heat of the moment wasn"t planning to kill her. Shot his mother in the front of the head. Everyone else was shot in the back of the head. Jacques doesn"t admit to killing his father in law. What is the motive to lie about just this one. He wanted to make it seem like it was one isolate event. If he killed his father in law then he would be a petty criminal. Not insane in the court in the law if they show proof that they know what they did was wrong.
