Kant = reason to not tell the truth is to try to protect your life (cid:2) Shiffrin = reason to not tell the truth is because you know he is doing (cid:2) something bad; you have no obligation or right to contribute to something evil; because killer solicits the truth/answer for an immoral/evil end. Augustine = teaching and preaching immorality by acting on it.
