Symptom list of disorders e. g. criteria for major depressive episode (partial): five (or more) of the following symptoms have been present during the same two week period; at least one of which is #1 or #2. Includes scales to detect random responding, over and under reporting. Modern models of mental disorder: medical model, biological, brain diseases with genetic basis and chemical dysfunction.
