Symptoms show in one week after a 3 day stay at a hospital. Probability of developing mrsa z symptoms 1 in 5. Edp-788 tested to determine if reduced treatment time compared to standard care. 64 men and women ages 18-45 with mrsa z were recruited from same clinic. Edp had p-value of 0. 04, but 50% of +/- 3% still demonstrated fits of swearing when they attended clinic. Not double blind study because the doctors know which group received the placebo. Study is significant because p value is <0. 05, no difference between intervention and control group (0. 04 p value). Study isn"t super valid because small number of people for consensus. Data(numbers) that describe the health of the population. A set of concepts & methods used to interpret this data. Research is finding probability; describes how likely a health outcome is to happen. The p value concept probability that an observed result occurred by chance alone.
