If lipase is high there is a problem with the pancreas: you cannot use amylase as a specific test for just the pancreas, because amylase is also excreted by the other organs in the body! Lipase diagnostic: lipase is specifically excreted by the pancreas! Thus, we can indicate for various diseases/issues in the pancreas! Lipase & amylase: lipase 5-14 days to increase for diagnosis, amylase 24-72 hours to indicate. Pancreatic duct & common bile duct are enlarged because the mass is pressing on the area! Insulinoma: glucose level low organ has a problem, this may be caused by insulinoma. Pancreatic neoplasms lymphoma: malignant neoplasm, 2 types of lymph nodes, close to hilum of organ superficial!
