•most likely, Lei Feng was a created as propaganda tool (the editor behind is Lin Biao, the
military leader who was later eliminated from the board because of his military loss )
•In the comic, Mao is not represented as a character, but he is everywhere
•Lei Feng is the answer of orphan under “New China”, because San Mao was the orphan under
old China.
•Lei Feng is an orphan, and the father is Mao. Mao is the great father of the whole Chinese
society
•Back in that decade, people are encouraged to act like Lei Feng, and think like Lei Feng.
