SMART Goal
S- I want to live a healthier lifestyle by eliminating soda from my diet, and eating more
fruits and vegetables.
M- I will meal plan once a week making a grocery list to shop from and then purchasing
just what is on my list.
A- allowing myself a “cheat” day.
R- short term goal, realistic because I’m starting small and allowing myself one day to
enjoy foods I’m used to.
T- Sunday (weekly)

Goal- to buy a new car.
o S- I will save money every month from my paycheck to purchase a new car.
o M- I will save $3000 for a down payment on a new car.
o A- I will put $250 in savings from each paycheck for 12 months.
o R- putting aside $250 from each paycheck still allows me $1000 for living
expenses.
o T- 12 months
Habits
Habits are repetitive patterns or behavior.
Most of life is habitual. You do the same things you did yesterday, the day before and
every day for the last month.
Habits, good or bad, make you who you are. The key is controlling them.
If you know how to change your habits, then even a small effort can create big changes.
Repetitive positive actions become habits within one month.
