Many countries have an uneven distribution of land. Spanish hacienda system left most of the land in the hands of the elite. Money flows into these elite and others (like farmers) receive little of what is made. Focusing on raising crops for sale, rather than growing foodstuffs. Humans need to continue to grow crops indefinitely on the same resources without. Eco-labeling programs have been implemented to inform consumers about environmentally depleting them sustainable production standards. Conurbations: delineated with wall for protection, large urban areas where cities merge to form large city areas, also called megalopolis. People are becoming more and more urban: by 2020, more than 1/4 of the population of the world will live in cities of more than 1 million people. There are large cities in countries that are mainly agricultural. Highest percentage of urbanization are in the developed world and latin america. Sub-saharan africa and south asia least urbanized.
