Those who slide into marriage may have some about the future of the marriage. Are challenges, decisions need to be made, and coping. Identity tasks: conjugal themes- new married coupled themes are all reflected in how they use their time, energy, and money. Roles and counter-roles: they are paired- wife:housewok: conjugal identities-smart, serious, responsible one,gifted one- families come up with. External boundary tasks- you as a couple and your extended families- you as a couple and you extended friends: family versus partner- your partners primary loyalty is you and the relationship. Comment on individuation- freely demonstrate your primary loyalty to your partner: friends versus partner- marriage and relationships challenge your friendships. Be able to balance but primary loyalty is your marriage. Internal boundaries: balancing separateness versus connectedness.
