The gender binary: the concept based upon societal normal that one can be either a man or a woman only, he or she , leaves out spectrum of larger groups in between these two norms. Identity characteristics can also be invisible or unreported: in brazil, 48 transgender women were reported murdered in. January of 2016: approximately 50% of gender non-conforming persons attempt suicide in their lifetimes. Gendered jobs: lower paying jobs like nursing and teaching tend to be women"s work. Different qualifications: women are less likely to have as much experience or education as men, sometimes because of constructs sometimes because of barred access, this is quickly changing but is isn"t affecting who gets the job. Discrimination: often based on sexism, works against women"s options in the world of work. The care of children: makes it difficult for women to be considered on an equal occupational footing with men.
